PMS-related depression on HRT?

It is worthwhile to speak with your provider, or another menopause specialist,  about those symptoms, particularly if they started shortly after you began the HRT.  Usually the predominant mood effect from HRT that is a combination of estrogen and a progestin is to have a mild boost from the estrogen.  But for some women, the progestin (necessary to protect the uterine lining) can in some women cause a darkening of mood.  It doesn't happen the same with all progestins, so that might be something that could be adjusted.

Keep working on it, there will probably be some fine tuning that can help!
